Holiday Cheer Any Time Of Year
Other Peoples Chairs
What is a chair? A Place to sit, kick your shoes off or rest maybe? I have taken photos over the years of chairs in the wild, benches at the beach, Adirondacks in someone’s yard and a few inside. Chairs are relaxing to me. Even the broken ones.
This book is a photo collection with quotes from friends, stories from my life and inspiration.
Holiday Cheer any time of year
New London, Connecticut
Two white chairs wait side by side on winter grass. . .near enough to know each other, far enough to remain themselves. Between them, a wreath lingers, its green still holding on to something festive, as if the season hasn’t quite decided to leave.
At their feet, weathered buoys lean together, marked by time and tide, carrying whispers of water to a place far from the shore. The house behind them feels quiet and patient. An evergreen keeps watch while bare branches nearby seem to be listening for what comes next.
Nothing here asks for attention, yet everything feels intentional. Two chairs, set without urgency. As if they’re expecting someone. Or remembering someone. Or simply holding space for the kind of moments that arrive without announcement.
